The Short Version

We offer a 7-day refund window for new subscribers, subject to token usage. If Chatme.at isn't right for you, let us know within a week of signing up. However, refunds will be adjusted based on how many tokens you've consumed.

For existing subscribers, refunds are generally not available, but we'll work with you to resolve any technical issues.

Our Refund Policy in Plain English

At Chatme.at, we're committed to your satisfaction. We've designed our refund policy to be fair and transparent. Here's what you need to know:

1. Our 7-Day Refund Window (Token-Adjusted)

New to Chatme.at? We offer refunds within 7 days of your first purchase, prorated based on token consumption. If you've consumed a significant portion of your tokens, your refund will be reduced accordingly.

Important: This window applies only to your first purchase and doesn't cover subscription renewals or additional purchases. Refunds are calculated as follows:

  • 0-10% tokens used: Full refund
  • 11-25% tokens used: 75% refund
  • 26-50% tokens used: 50% refund
  • 51-75% tokens used: 25% refund
  • Over 75% tokens used: No refund available

2. When Refunds May Apply

We may issue an adjusted refund in these limited situations:

  • Within 7 days of first purchase - Subject to token consumption (see rates above)
  • Technical issues we can't fix - If our service isn't working and we can't resolve the problem within 72 hours (full refund available)
  • Billing errors - If you notice any mistakes or unauthorized charges (full refund for erroneous charges)

3. When Refunds Don't Apply

Refunds are not available in these cases:

  • After your first 7 days (no exceptions for non-technical issues)
  • If you've consumed more than 75% of your allocated tokens
  • For partial months of service
  • For subscription renewals
  • For purchases made during special promotions or discounts
  • If your account has been flagged for abuse or violation of our Terms of Service

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription anytime, and you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for the remaining time or unused tokens. Your subscription will simply not renew.

4. How to Request a Refund

Getting your refund is easy. Just email us at support@chatme.at with:

  • The email address on your account
  • Date of your purchase
  • A brief explanation of why you're requesting a refund
  • Any screenshots if you're reporting an issue (helpful but not required)

5. What Happens Next?

Once we receive your request, here's what to expect:

  • We'll acknowledge your request within 24 hours (usually much sooner)
  • We'll process eligible refunds within 3-5 business days
  • Your bank or payment provider may take 5-10 business days to show the refund in your account

Heads up: The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider. We don't control this timeline, but we'll do everything we can on our end to make it quick!
